on fashion, dreams and driving

I used to have this crazy dream of being a actress/model when I was younger. I decided I’d have to be in an Arabic TV show or movie because I can more easily pass as an Arab and I wear a hijab, so I didn’t think I would be able to act in any other types of cinema. I always knew I wanted to learn the language, so I wasn’t worried about that. I was going to learn Arabic before I was 20 and then move to Morocco and start auditioning. That was seriously the plan.

I’ve decided I need to start wearing more of my clothes! I have so many, but I’m too lazy to put outfits together! I’ll try to be more fashionable this semester 🙂 Maybe I’ll get closer to my childhood dream, haha. I don’t really love this outfit (in the photo below) or anything, but I like the modesty about it, and I like the saturation of the photo.

On driving: The other night Erin and I went for some late night pizza nearby. On our way out of the pizza shop, we were waiting for the light to turn red so we could cross the street. A bus was stopped before the intersection even though his light was green. I looked closer and saw he was sleeping! I went up and tapped on the window. He opened it and I told him, “Wake up!!! Get a coffee if you need to!” He seemed nice. WHAT THE HECK. That’s so dangerous. I’m a very tough critic when it comes to driving (as I’ve said before) and I can’t handle when people aren’t completely attentive while driving. Seeing a bus driver sleeping while behind the wheel… scary stuff. The night ended right, though. The weather was perfect, so we ate outside on our campus plaza. I love eating outside. It was the best pizza I’ve ever had. Or maybe I was just reallyyy hungry. I forget to eat sometimes.
